The contextual safeguarding team, at the University of Bedfordshire have a range of current projects. See below for details and to visit the project pages and resources:

Hackney project: The International Centre are working with Hackney Council Children and Families service to implement a Contextual Safeguarding framework to strengthen safeguarding response to vulnerable children and young people. Find out more here.

Contextual Safeguarding Scale up: The Big Lottery have funded the Contextual Safeguarding Team to embed Contextual Safeguarding in three new sites in England and Wales. Find out more to apply here.

Beyond referrals: Multi-agency levers for addressing harmful sexual behaviour in schools: Working with Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission the Contextual Safeguarding team have developed a toolkit for schools, multi-agency partners and inspectorates to identify and understand levers for preventing and responding to HSB.

The London Safeguarding Adolescents Steering Group: Creating contextual policy through targeted programmes of work with inspectorates, commissioners, safeguarding boards and Pan-London decision-makers to ensure policy frameworks facilitate contextual practice. Find out more here.
